Alex is a microbial and ecosystem scientist focusing on developing methods for the empirical assessment of agricultural practice transitions. At YASSP, he collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate, implement, and evaluate novel study designs for ecosystem management interventions. He completed his Ph.D. at the School of the Environment, where his research focused on the role of soil microbial communities in carbon cycling across local to regional scales.
